Talk about perfect couple, perfect atmosphere and perfect timing? We did this session right before Aruba shut it’s borders due to The Corona Virus pandemic.
This story began 2 years when our couple reached out to us to capture some great memories for them. We were onboard, only to find out later on that they could not make the trip.
Fast forward two years later and here we are. Nick and Nikole got to book us for what turned out to be one of our most epic sessions ever. When we say epic, we are talking about shooting in the morning and re-shooting again later that day. yes, you read that correctly. Two shoots one day. In Total we were able to conquer 4 locations, three outfits, 1 million laughs learned from the couple and was able to teach the couple and let’s not forget I learned a few Greek words in the process!
The morning session we went to Mangel Halto Aruba. We wanted clear blue waters with no beach, but rather rocks and stairs… something different. While there why not bang out the drone for some aerial shots. Who doesn’t like more angles?

The morning session we went to Mangel Halto Aruba. We wanted clear blue waters with no beach, but rather rocks and stairs… something different. While there why not bang out the drone for some aerial shots, right. Who doesn’t like more angles? They did!!!
Arashi Beach
After driving back to the north side of the Island we went to Arashi Beach for the beach vibe. Nikole changed into a bright pink dress. The emphasis was on being epic. Yes, a long dress that pops and flows. No time to be conservative here… There is a pandemic trying to stop us from getting kick ass shots. I usually work with an assistant on our sessions. This time we had to ask a beach goer if we could borrow her husband to be my assistant for 2 minutes. Never got their names sadly. Nick and Nikole rocked it to the fullest.
The North Coast
With morning session now complete we recharged our creative minds and got ready for the late afternoon session at the North Coast. Picked up the couple, my assistant and headed over to our third spot. Rocks, crashing waves and fun. That was our inspiration for these shots. We added some drama as well. There was this rock formation that framed them perfectly. My creative mind was on overload. how can I create something unique for my couple, I thought? Why not make that a silhouette and and light my subjects? Yassss.
The Basin
The final spot for the already amazing day was what we call, The Basin. Again mother nature has created something special for us to make the best use of. I can’t even explain it. Check the pics. during this part of The Experience, Nick got down on one knee and said his vows to Nikole once more. Such a great moment to photograph for them. This location is so unique you have to capture it from above…which we gladly did of course.
What do you think about a full photography experience similar to theirs? Are you thinking about creating awesome memories with one of kind photos? Don’t take our words for it see what they had to say about it.
